How does sportsmassage work?

Sports massage works with the superficial and deep muscles, stimulating and aiding this flow so that the body is more efficient and allows the muscles to do their jobs correctly.  Through sports massage we help your body get rid of impurities and encourage a better lymph and blood circulation.

Our body is designed for movement . Both the lymphatic and vascular systems work together to flow blood towards the heart, this flow needs movement to work correctly. We often use our muscles too little or in monotonous movements that don’t stimulate enough and this flow can be slowed down and inefficient.

Sportsmassage also works to relieve pain.  Through using trigger points, we can provide and well rounded and complete treatment.  Trigger point massage is especially good for loosening up and releasing muscles in regards to specific ailments and injuries.

Along with your massage treatment we may suggest stretches, and advice on how you can help prevent further problems that we find in your body. For example maybe heat, compression or attention to posture.
